Lore behind the name 🎬 EPISODE 123. @Luacantu • What’s the story behind your name? - I was born and raised in Lima, Peru 🇵🇪 and later moved to Miami to finish my marketing degree. My first name is Luana, which is also my mom’s name, while my middle name is Dominique. When I came to the U.S. alone, people naturally called me Luana, and over time I chose to embrace it. My mom has always been the strongest person I know, hardworking, she’s my guide post. So carrying her name feels like carrying a little piece of her with me. Her curiosity, resilience, and work ethic shaped who I am, and I think they’re a big reason I eventually made the leap into my second career as a software engineer. • What would you highlight right now among the things you’re building and consider truly important? - Right now I’m building with the @nightowlai_ team, where we’re creating an AI command center that lets people orchestrate AI agents and introduces tokenized intelligence as part of the ecosystem and it’s something I genuinely believe will change how people work with autonomous systems. On the side, I’m also building a Soil Microbiome Visualizer, a project that helps make complex biological data easier to explore and understand. I love and enjoy , I feel like im sitting at opposite ends of the spectrum.
