The issue with Amorim wasn’t just the formation, but his rigidity.
Nagelsmann, is tactically flexible and has used multiple formations throughout his career. He uses a back 4 with Germany.

If it’s not Enrique, we better stick with Carrick. Shit he’s already trained the boys for months, gonna get a full preseason and knows what players fit his philosophy for the future, we need to back him in the market. Any other gaffer we get now will continue the cycle of “give him time”, “get him his players” “Fergie took 8th in his first season” and we just don’t have the time for that anymore

With what Nagelsmann plays, he doesn't disrupt our squad build. The players Amorim used fits his style and we just have to focus on the midfield, wings and maybe defence.
Areas we were already looking at improving. Ineos have also been focused on players who suit varying systems
