After a structured learning visit to @AfricaHolistic in Zimbabwe, 16 Village Headmen from Zambia are now working with communities to: 🐄 Structure grazing systems 🏞️ Improve rangeland management 🌱💧 Strengthen soil and water retention 🤝 Reinforce community-led land governance

For the participants, this harvest represents more than food or money but proof that when communities work together and are supported, they can create meaningful change. The harvest has strengthened their belief in agriculture as both a business and a tool for social good.

This achievement was made possible through the support of the #SocialEmployment Fund (SEF), in partnership with #Solidaridad. Through this support, participants were able to increase labour capacity, strengthen their farming practices, and expand production.

This season, #SocialEmploymentFund participants from a project called "My Kasi Economy" at the City of Johannesburg (COJ) site achieved their biggest potato harvest ever, thanks to the increased availability of labour and their unwavering dedication.

Mr. Moisés Machona and Ana Venancio, two farmers participating in our Acting Now project, are contributing to stronger local seed systems through seed multiplication in Mossurize District.
