Winter brings longer nights and low sun, making it harder for drivers to spot pedestrians. So do your best to be safe and be seen. Wear bright clothing during the day and reflective clothing or accessories after dark. Learn more: capt.org.uk/winter-safety/

It's World Prematurity Day 💙 Earlier this year, this lovely mum shared her story about breastfeeding her daughter, who was born premature. "Tilly was born at 34+6 weeks via emergency C-Section as she decided to come in with a bang on Bonfire Night. Tilly was tube fed breastmilk in NICU/SCBU until she was big and strong enough to latch herself. It’s been a long journey but she has been EBF from the beginning and is thriving. Many people are surprised to see such a small baby breastfeeding, but I’ve been determined to give her the very best from the start. She’s grown from 3lbs 13 to over 7lbs 9 in 12 weeks. Breastfeeding a premature baby isn’t easy, it’s been challenging but Matilda has never lost weight and continued to thrive. We’re so grateful to the breastfeeding support workers at Wishaw General and our at-home support worker who have given such encouragement." Thank you for sharing💜 If your breastfeeding journey didn't start the way you expected, or you want information on breastfeeding a premature baby, please contact our @NBHelpline for support - available 24/7. 📞0300 100 0212 If you need information on breastfeeding after a c-section, we have a factsheet for that: breastfeedingnetwork.org.uk/factsheet/caes… Please contact our Drugs in Breastmilk Service if you have any questions about medication and breastfeeding - they aim to reply within 24 hours - druginformation@breastfeedingnetwork.org.uk. ✨Please share this post to raise awareness✨ #WorldPrematurityDay

Pumpkin carving is a great Halloween tradition. But if your child isn’t old enough to handle a sharp knife safely you can use pens, stickers, paint or glitter to decorate your pumpkin without making a scratch. #ScareSafely this Halloween: ow.ly/FUSX50Xatig
