𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗜 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗮𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 One of my earliest lessons in law didn’t come from a courtroom. It came from watching a family dispute nearly destroy their business. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 Two sibling business partners were on the brink of suing each other. Upon review, I realised that the problems went deeper than control over the business. - Assets weren’t clearly divided - Roles were undefined - Sibling rivalry turned every discussion into a personal attack If we went to court, the business would inevitably collapse, and the family bonds would too. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Realising that going to court was a guarantee of a lose-lose situation, I decided to reframe the process. During pre-trial negotiations, I: 1. Shifted the focus from grievances to shared goals 2. Made an argument for a restructuring, with clear roles, responsibilities, and succession planning structures in place 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 The dispute de-escalated. Instead of filing suit documents in court, we worked on a framework for long-term governance. The business stabilised, and the family ties survived. 𝗠𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗲: 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗜𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗲 Most men suffer in silence, following the same old scripts of burying their stress, money worries, and emotional pain behind stoicism. That silence breeds isolation, and isolation feeds depression. The antidote is brotherhood. When men sit in a circle of trust, share their truths, and listen without ego, something powerful happens, and healing begins at the deepest levels of consciousness. For the men who want to go further, taking the time to build a strong inner circle isn’t time wastage or procrastination. It is wisdom to find the right people to grow with. It’s the only way that disenfranchised men rise. ***** To book a FREE consultation call with Adam Soliman, click on the link below: lnkd.in/gBSFrAkZ #MensWork #Brotherhood #MentalHealth #LeadershipConnection

One client almost learned this the hard way: They missed a critical deadline. Opposing counsel pushed for a default judgment, with $5M on the line. By the time the case file landed on my desk, the clock was already running out. 𝗨𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 Moving with speed and precision, I spent the night drafting, revising, and coordinating filings. It allowed the client to present their case in court and gave them the chance to fight, negotiate, and ultimately survive. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗿𝘆𝗽𝘁𝗼 In high-net-worth divorces, the hardest part isn’t splitting assets. Sometimes, even proving what exists and who controls it can be a challenge. 1. 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗿𝘆𝗽𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗙𝗧𝘀 The biggest challenge facing family courts today includes questions like; 1. What is the cryptocurrency worth today? 2. Answering these questions correctly will determine the fairness of any divorce settlement arrived at. 𝗔𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗰𝗿𝘆𝗽𝘁𝗼 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Divorce law is entering uncharted territory. Too many men carry childish behaviors like whining, deflecting, and avoiding responsibility into adulthood. But true manhood means recognizing those patterns and cutting them out. Similarly, growth starts when we stop excusing ourselves and start owning our choices. Responsibility is the cornerstone of leadership, respect, and power. Because registering a business isn’t just about acquiring the right paperwork. It is just as much about the owners’ mindset. Here’s what registering an LLC or Corporation does for you as the business founder: 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆: Coming up with a business name and doing the entire registration process is the moment you go from “maybe I’ll do this” to “let’s do this!” 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀: A legal entity allows you to separate personal and business finances. I discovered a Master’s program in Agriculture & Food Law at the University of Arkansas, applied, and left Hong Kong to begin a new chapter. That journey opened doors. It created amazing friendships, allowed me to publish papers, and eventually allowed me to establish my legal practice in Canada. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 Quiet disagreements over roles, equity distribution, and decision-making nearly tore the company apart. What saved them was something far less glamorous, which some members didn’t even know about - their company bylaws. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆'𝘀 𝗯𝘆𝗹𝗮𝘄𝘀 Turns out, the company already had clear rules on: 𝟭. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻-𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 – Who could decide what? 𝟮.
