We had it so good in the 2010s and we did not know, Deus Ex was firing on all cylinders. Then, for some reason, it all stopped. So much content we got in the span of 6 to 7 years.

I fear that social media has made politics a real time, never ending, boxing match. Everyone looking to score points on the hour, looking for advantage and leverage while folks suffer real trauma. Stinks. I grew up in the 70’s/80’s/90’s. It was so much calmer. Chaos is the key now. Sad. Bums me out.

Snuck into the @BFI IMAX on the weekend and was blown away by how the 70mm IMAX print looked and sounded.. Such a buzz seeing a totally full cinema just all locked in. Very special memory.

Project Hail Mary is one of those films that reminds you why cinema exists👏 Not just for spectacle… but for connection. It makes you feel awe, it makes you feel emotion, and at its core it tells a story about kindness, courage, and a bond that feels more human than most. That’s what movies are supposed to be ❤️ Visually, it’s stunning. The sense of scale, the depiction of space, the detail in every sequence, it all feels deliberate and immersive in a way that constantly pulls you in. Even learning that the ‘Petrova line’ sequence near Adrian was all done in-camera using infrared lights, just adds another layer of appreciation. That’s real craft. That real cinema making. But what truly stayed with me was the bond between Grace and Rocky. Two completely different beings, brought together by circumstance, choosing trust, kindness, and sacrifice. It always felt authentic, It never feels forced… it feels earned. Something we haven’t had in cinema in a long while. And because of that authenticity, every moment lands harder. That connection… that’s what hit me. That’s what had me emotional. And that’s what makes this film special ❤️
