@SciFyWriter @SirMagicPickle @Mick_Gordon Just adding facts m8. Bonuses and royalties are how they try to keep key people who work 16 hours days enticed. Mick himself was offered a bonus if a deadline was reached. Take it how you will. Granted I left the industry 10 years ago so maybe it changed.

To those taking action against the game, please spare a thought for all the talented people who worked incredibly hard to make the game you enjoyed. The team's work, which drew critical acclaim, deserves celebration, and their efforts should not be the target of a protest.

@SciFyWriter @SirMagicPickle @Mick_Gordon There's a high chance that many of the staff receive royalties (It's often an incentive for crunching / putting in the extra work) so it would affect them.

@SirMagicPickle @Mick_Gordon And the people that worked on it already got paid and aren't the target of vitriol. If the game doesn't sell well it doesn't affect them at all. They are literally irrelevant in a boycott situation and acting like they're victims shifts focus from those being condemned.

@WardenFPS @A1Dfps Inner Game of Tennis is the OG sport psych book that most others draw from. Applies to anything in life.

@WardenFPS @A1Dfps I can lend ya a collection of sport psych books if you're interested in that stuff. Got them after competing in tf2 to understand myself a bit better.

@crunchyyworld Are you sluggish at certain points in the day? Can you work on your circadian rhythm so that you are more alert at regular tournament times? Are you eating a lot of sugar and crashing? The time can be used to reset and work on aspects you didn't have time for during the season.

@crunchyyworld Off-season breaks from your game to improve overall health can be a huge help for your mental and overcoming plateau's. Every player has a ceiling that they hit unless they change something and there are other aspects to grind than the game itself.

@signedworld At the top level, skill starts to take a backseat to mindset. Everyone at the top is gifted, so you gotta differentiate yourself from the rest. As you said, be more efficient with your time and having a drive for self-improvement.

@signedworld This is so true. When I was preparing for competition, I did a lot more things outside of the game to prepare myself mentally for the game. Meditation, sleep, eating clean (Less sugar to avoid crashes), avoiding socials and just focusing on our game plan.

@ThePhantomLex @crunchyyworld If your goal is to reach the top and you hit it. What then? If your goal is to be the best you can possibly be, there's always something more to be done. Once you've prepared enough it's easier to relax in tough situations knowing you've done everything you could.

@ThePhantomLex @crunchyyworld Definition of someone with the right motivator and passion. Arguably the best chess player ever, he's still so focused on being better. Lives and breathes it. Middle of interview but all Magnus could think of was Chess. youtu.be/PZFS0kewLRQ?t=…

@signedworld Last point, which you covered @signedworld - People often only see the surface of what the top players do. I guarantee if they're hungry enough, they're doing so much behind the scenes that people aren't aware of. Raw talent has a lot to do with it, but these people are driven

@signedworld Back when I competed in games no one has heard of, I didn't care about the results, I cared about the process. Win or lose, I'd replay scenarios in my head and think of what could have been done differently. Literally unable to fall asleep until I'd finished thinking it through.
