@AhKatastrophe @fujolatina But, those are both parts of improving your play of a character. I’m once again talking about learning to play a character brand new to you. If I am playing qp to practice Gambit in ranked, and someone else takes Gambit to play him for the first time ever how is that fair?

@Solvedmedal4900 @fujolatina Playing against ai or even in the other modes won’t give you the awareness you need for some characters since the ai/arcade modes aren’t played the same. ontop of that the arcade/ai won’t help with learning combos and pulling them off since they aren’t a “real” match

if you try out a new hero in quick play they literally will kill you

@AhKatastrophe @fujolatina Completely agree. The original posts talked about learning a NEW character or trying someone NEW. In my first reply I specifically specified that you should learn characters brand new to you in arcade modes. How about this - can you give any benefits to playing them in qp?

@Solvedmedal4900 @fujolatina But they are not throwing. Like you even said, they are playing to improve. Doing bad does not equate to throwing like 90% of the community thinks it does. Sure they might be playing into a bad match up but they might not know that.

@AhKatastrophe @fujolatina But in comp losing carries weight. Therefore I want to practice comp, and thus Quickplay exists. To some people it’s not about win/loss it’s about actually playing the game as it’s supposed to be played, so you can improve. I can’t do that if someone throws 🤷🏼‍♂️

@Solvedmedal4900 @fujolatina It’s quick play though. Literally gain nothing from winning and lose nothing from losing. I get it people want to win but at the end of the day it’s quick play. If they want to actually have matches like that then comp is right there.
