N killing who he believed to be Tessa to save Uzi is the prime example of N making his own decisions, and it was the biggest one that exposed Cyn. He is not just a satellite character or "Uzi's boyfriend". N and Uzi inspiring change in each other is not bad writing.

Ultratruth bomb over here, This was always the only way I could ever read Cyn. Her and the Solver are separate beings, but they don't at all mind each other. They're splendid partners TwT
