However I can criticize the decisions it made instead. Gerald’s death isn’t a problem for me because he’s not shot by firing squad.

Sonic 3 feels more like a Sonic Adventure 2 movie than The Super Mario Galaxy Movie feels like a Super Mario Galaxy movie. I think the only reason people say the Mario movies are "more faithful" is because of references and OST, but is that really enough to be "more faithful"?

@SomeRaid3rYoshi @AgnaktorMH6578 @AguChampZero I think it would be nice to take some aspects from the OVA since that kind of feels like an unoffical adaptation of that same story. Also an orchestral version of Look Alike would be amazing.

@SomeRaid3rYoshi @AgnaktorMH6578 @AguChampZero What I will say is that Jim Carey as Eggman is kind of a double edged sword for the films because while I technically don't think he's "bad", it doesnt feel like Eggman and the stories they're adapting have to reorient themselves around his interpretation of that character.

@SomeRaid3rYoshi @AguChampZero I actually agree when it comes to gerald. He was too unserious when compared to his game counterpart, and the original battle between him and ivo was wayyyyy better. But he did have a few good moments

Besides, Movie Maria has actual personality, what makes her death more shocking and sadder than Game Maria.

@AguChampZero The Mario Galaxy Movie is an insult to moviegoers and longtime fans casual or hardcore. It doesn’t bother adapting the story or even the atmosphere of the games it bases itself off of in favor of being just eye candy and nothing more.

@AguChampZero Sonic 3 is a botched adaptation of Sonic Adventure 2, it misses the mark on a multitude of things. Gerald’s death and Maria’s lack of an illness negatively impact the movie. In my eyes its a bad film but it still has its moments and can be quite nicely executed at some points.
