That is the difference between arguing over ideology and recognizing misconduct when it is right in front of you.

A political disagreement is about policy, power, structure, and direction. An ethical judgment is about honesty, harm, fairness, abuse, corruption, and whether something is right even when it is legal, popular, or useful. That distinction matters more than people want to admit.

There’s a difference between politics and ethics. Politics is about what kind of government you want. Ethics is about what kind of behavior you are willing to excuse from the government you have. Politics asks what should be. Ethics asks what is acceptable.

Not every objection to government is partisan. Sometimes it is moral. Sometimes it is civic. Sometimes it is simply a refusal to become comfortable with what should never feel normal.
