I've been seeing a lot of posts recently speculating that the reason the #RWBY writers have taken two years to give us an update is because they're probably writing for Volumes 11-15, and I think you might be setting yourself up for disappointment with those expectations. The last we heard, they were in writing pre-production for Volume 10. Even when RWBY was owned by Rooster Teeth, I believe the only volumes written together were Volumes 7-8. If you think they are writing FOUR VOLUMES ALL AT ONCE without seeing how Volume 10 performs, I'm sorry, you are delusional. The mainline RWBY series has been in production for 13 years now, from the first Red trailer teaser at the end of Red vs Blue Season 10, to where we're currently waiting for Volume 10 updates, which will likely come about during Anime Expo next month. VIZ likely owns the IP, I'm not familiar with their means of production when it comes to an animation studio and how the pipeline of creating the show even happens now. The cast & crew along with the show's development has evolved drastically over the last decade, and the characters we've been following during that time have also hit their highest highs and lowest of lows. And taking into consideration the scale of how the world and our way of life has also shifted, especially since 2020, it's important to acknowledge that we no longer live in those blissful times where we should just expect that the core show to go on forever. It's a goddamn miracle that RWBY survived the shutdown of Rooster Teeth, and more so that it has a second lease on life with continuing in the first place. But rather than expecting to get history repeating itself with another decade of volumes, when the annual releases were unhealthy and unsustainable, I think it's important to consider how RWBY can close the chapter of its own story, on its own terms, while it still has the audience and means to do so. Maybe that'll be through novels that are animated later or maybe spinoff stories like Team STRQ after V10 concludes. But why anyone is EXPECTING V11-15, when it took so much for us to get here, is beyond me. I say this as someone who started RWBY with the colored trailers and has been with this series for everything its been through. I've made hundreds of videos and streams talking about RWBY. I've met thousands of fans at RTX because of it, and I even met my girlfriend through the show. It's CRAZY that Team RWBY is still here, and we're so lucky to say we're even getting a Volume 10, but it's also important to temper our expectations and embrace whatever the future of RWBY has in store. Needless to say, I'm very excited to see what they're cooking!

@glasses15483 @ToonHive @AnimatedMau @glitch_prod There's nothing wrong with it they are just wishing too early cause you have to have a proof of concept before any studio picks you up. That usually starts with the pilot being released by the team themselves and then someone picks them up if I said that right

It's an animation studio, but as a big fan of this project, I'd prefer they produce it themselves, especially since this doesn't seem like a suitable project for Glitch.
