Winning is an incredible feeling, but it doesn’t last more than “two minutes.” I’ve never heard a professional athlete speak like this, & I’ve never related more. I’m 30 years old now. I’m grateful for everything Street Fighter has brought into my life, but I can feel the clock ticking. The chase for titles, the grind, the highs & lows… it makes you ask yourself, why do I do this? Is it just for the trophy? The legacy? Or is it because deep down, we’re searching for something eternal in a temporary ghost. What’s fulfills you?

For me, the best fighting games are the ones where you really gotta work at it, learn to handle tough situations, and where the better player usually wins. Losing should be because of skill, not luck. Tekken 7 ( without Akuma) was perfect, I think. Stuff like having strong defense being bad in T8, those 50/50s that are plus on block and lead to a full combo? throw loops in Street Fighter, total garbage.
