I have to keep pointing this out. Are these people not American, or just completely fucking stupid? They think it's a good idea to invalidate lawfully cast votes that simply aren't counted by 11:59pm on election day. This is "short bus" level stupid.

I’d fully support voter ID if it were simple and free for everyone. But if you brought a clean, no-strings-attached ID bill to the floor, it wouldn’t pass. That tells you the goal isn’t ID—it’s restricting access. When lawmakers openly talk about lowering turnout, it’s hard to argue otherwise.

I didn’t realize until I watched this that the sheriff was simply seeking to count the number of ballots that exist, and not to look at how they were cast. The sheriff wants to compare how many TOTAL ballots actually exist to how many ballots the machines say were cast, i.e. exist. How can anyone argue against this?

@Sooner4Life @tommysantos14 I’d throw away a late vote ALL DAMN DAY. If you are late to work, you don’t get to just work without consequences. If voting was important to you, you’d have it complete by midnight on Election Day. You’d have your vote banked, tallied and accounted for.
