It is easy to dunk on these campaigns when one wasn’t in the room to know who had the final say, how it was made, etc. But you can comment on the impact. Brand lives in the mind. Brand is fragile. And what Solana has going for it - in a sea of competitive tech, who are learning every day to build stronger and advertise better - has been the mentality of an underdog. A tight knit, in-it-together, strong-as-a-whole, authentic community that knows it isn’t cool or commercially smart in this year of 2025 to make fun of someone’s gender. What is most shocking about this ad is that Solana of all ecosystems made it. Brand is how the “we fucked up” is handled. Brand is what is left underneath after the apology. Let’s see.

@vasamonte @lorismatic There is no LGB without the T. Genderqueer people have always and will always be part of the queer community. Noone is "inventing new genders". We might have new language to label identities that have existed for all of human history, but that's just how language develops.

@lorismatic feel sorry. personally i have no problems with the LGB community - it is just that i can't stomach the T. i more view this as an attack to the opposition which abuses the LGB narrative to take advantage.

@nickfrosty @creativedrewy we have a core kmp stack that is open source but only really used by Solana Mobile. And FYI we are currently building an mwa-core kmp library. Would love to chat more with you about this!

@creativedrewy @nickfrosty Thanks drewy! Yeah our web3-kmp stack is still underutilized but I'd love to get more folks aligned on it so we can have shared tooling. The metaplex solana-kmp SDK is dead and abandoned sadly. Well get that updated there immediately cc @MikeSulistio
