84% of students have missed class or know someone who has because they didn't have period products. But period products are a basic human need. Not a privilege. Has the affected you or someone you know? #CCE2021 pin.it/2W3sKB9 via @pinterest

@larissawaters What an awesome move in the right direction. For those asking about the cost it can be completely unaffordable for some women and young girls, not everybody is in the same position as you might be!

The Greens will combat period poverty by providing free period products in all public primary & secondary schools. Period products are a necessity, not a luxury. It's about bloody time we make them accessible to everyone. #EndPeriodPoverty abc.net.au/news/2021-05-2…

@MeandYouforHer1 I think that men and the wider community play an integral part to ending the stigma around periods. Do you think that if those people are educated then both discussions and access to sanitary items will be reduced? #CCE2021

Did you know that 1 in 10 girls cannot afford to buy menstrual products? (The Red Box Project, 2017). Whilst 1 in 7 had to ask to borrow sanitary items due to affordability! This is a global issue that must be addressed #endperiodpoverty #CCE2021

It is exceptionally important that #realchange is made when it comes to #periods especially in our schools. There is so much shame and lack of access to the appropriate sanitation in schools that 27% of girls in Australia are missing school! #CCE2021
