@StephStradley I’m sorry but someone with “special skills” doesn’t hire David Culley to be the head coach of an NFL team

<whispers> maybe a few bubbles of group think fans have a problem with him but Nick Caserio has special skills as a GM. he serves the head coach, can talk to him as a football peer, nobody outworks him, you can understand what he is doing. I don’t take a quality GM for granted
Mr.Optimistic@MrOptimisticHou

Nick Caserio takes a lot of heat around Houston but I think he deserves some credit for his mid season acquisitions over his tenure here. Losing 4 safeties and 3 DTs this season and finding guys to play well in meaningful games is low key impressive. You think about names like Barnett, Togaiai, and more that are cut and end up being key players for the franchise.

Every team has at least one hate-able player, but I genuinely don’t think the 2025 Dodgers had a single one 😭 People definitely hate some of our players because they win, but not a single dude on the roster is unlikeable as a person

@JPL92 @BigNickEnergy33 @justin_hicken It is absolutely hilarious that you can only think about the Astros mere days after your team won a WS. They broke you. Never thought it would be like this but 2017 is the gift that keeps on giving. Brings me joy to know how angry you & the rest of the dodgers fans still are

As a Brazilian fan, I can say: Clayton Kershaw's career itself It's bigger for the world of baseball than the entire existence of the Astros. I mean, it's not just that he has more rings in his 17 years in MLB than you guys have in almost seven decades of existence. The fact is that he quickly established himself as one of the greatest pitchers in history, while the Asterisks were nobodies in the world of baseball, having never won absolutely anything, until the day they became involved in the biggest cheating scandal in baseball history and became known worldwide for it. And these are just facts...

Dear, Dodger fans, I know I’ve upset many with my comments last night. That was mean. So, as a courtesy on behalf of Houston, We’d like to offer a collective tip of the cap to the great Clayton Kershaw on an unbelievable career. THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES!

@iTalkMyShit24_7 @BenOndaTop Astros also earned Dodger fan teras for the rest of eternity, apparently. Never thought of it this way but 2017 is the gift that keeps on giving. Dodger fans still can't stop thinking about it mere days after winning the WS. Makes me so happy

@BenOndaTop Imagine bragging about a home run that only happened because your team had more illegal electronics than Best Buy. Dodgers earned respect. Astros earned asterisks. Congrats on the loudest trash can solo in baseball history, maestro.

@BenOndaTop Astros fans are one of the most insufferable fan bases. Try to play off the cheating like it was nothing, pick out the few dumbass mariner fans and make up their narrative. Don’t you do any research at all? Don’t you know there was a decent amount of Blue Jays fans there?

Fuck the Mariners and their pussy ass sob story. They would HAPPILY cheer with GLEE if Jose Altuve got hit in his temple by a 99 mph fastball. What makes you think they wouldn’t? Fuck them and fuck the Dodgers.

The thing about those Astros teams of the past I always respected was just how clutch all their players were. Springer, Altuve, Correa, Bregman. All absolute dogs in October. Springer with one of the biggest hits in Toronto history. He’s a winner.

@Ivdown12 @MooneyOwnsYou I have a similar story of losing a moment I’ll never get back due to cheating. My brother got me into baseball & into loving the Mets. All we wanted was to watch the Mets win the pennant 2 times in 3 years together. Jay Howell & the cheating Dodgers stole that unfortunately

My dad, the reason I'm a dodgers fan, watched with me at his birthday party while the Astros stole game 5 and we had no idea. We just watched them suddenly not swing and miss at any Kershaw pitch. He died 7 months later. I'm just petty enough to hold that against the Astros.
Chad Moriyama@ChadMoriyama

I mean if you care about the players on the team and the moments with people at that time instead of just circlejerking your team's achievements online or whatever, obviously you're never getting those back even if you win later, so yeah?

@TremaynePerson @TriciaWhitaker You misspelled “I was critical when he was on a team that won a lot and I didn’t like it, but now that he is on a team I like, all I forgot about that stuff and never really cared about it in the first place”

@TriciaWhitaker Agreed. I was critical of Springer because of the Astros years, but learning more about his story, and seeing how gracious he is with the media, he's earned my respect.

Just a random note about George Springer. A lot of players get frustrated by the influx of interview requests when they’re having an incredible season. Everyone wants to interview them, understandably so. I had the Blue Jays 6 times this season on national game broadcasts. I believe I Interviewed him nearly every single time, because he either did something great that day, or had just done something great the day before. Not once did he say no to an interview. Not once did he complain. Always accommodating. Always kind. If you cover sports, or just pay attention, you know how rare that is.

@brammer_nash 1) He didn’t cheat 2) They were cheating too. Should’ve cheated better 3) A decade ago? 🤣
