Air pollution is a major threat to health including asthma, heart disease, stroke and cancer. It has improved over several decades but we can reduce it, and the diseases it causes, significantly. This Royal College of Physicians report lays out the harms and things we can do.

Great you’re developing our neighbourhoods for local people. Need to clamp down on use of mobile phones while driving too - distraction is one of the biggest contributors to accidents. Maybe we could discuss strategy for making our neighbourhoods more vibrant & connected also? 🏡

@Jacwee67 @BevoisLabour Have we considered a tow-away service for repeat offenders? - They might think twice then if their vehicle was impounded & they have to pay a substantial fine? Double yellow lines are there for a reason & parking badly is not just selfish, it impedes pedestrians/other road users.

Walked around with Cllr Kataria and Keogh to look at the parking issues. These cars were all spoken to about parking on yellow lines out side fire station. The lady in the pink van said if she got a ticket so what. Taxis could not care less they were shopping. 🤦‍♀️@BevoisLabour

I don’t normally tweet restaurants, but one of the best (and I’ve been to a few) is Taberna13, off Oxford Street at 13-14 Terminus Terrace SO14 3DT. Authentic Portuguese cooking, with some real unique gems. (Note I am not connected with them in any way!) IG taberna13_southampton
