A private company on a nationally displayed platform should be held to some type of integrity and accountability. Defamation is a real thing, especially with political figures and cult like followers. Spewing bs DOES lead these cult members to have certain reactions, which is exactly the intention in the forst place. Why arent there laws preventing the media from lieing to the people? Comedy does qualifies as protected expression, however that protection is not obsolete. When comedy crosses into genuine menace it may loose all immunity or trigger lawful accountability. Comedy where humor glorifies physical harm and laughter desensitizes audiences to cruelty-it’s not a comedy anymore. I love dark jokes some people might find offensive. This was not funny. It was menace.
