My brother, sometimes this is what happens. It could all be paranoia on the region's part - but sometimes it's also down to moles that are planted close to you - in your team, who then leak bits of intel to the regime about who you have spoken to, where you have been to etc. It's that which then unsettles the regime! Professional vetting has to be introduced in the opposition movement - it's about time. You have to assume that with the state of the economy, one or two close to you will be compromised by trinkets. I have seen you suffer enough my brother, too much!

Today is my birthday. Despite having agreed to reschedule my celebrations with the office of the Officer Commanding Chitungwiza yesterday, I woke up seeing full deployment of the forces of oppression wielding guns, button sticks and dogs around my house and the venue. What is this fear all about? Why terrified about a mere birthday celebrations that has been rescheduled by a mere citizen? Shame on you!!!

@JobSikhala1 Is that junction leading to well maintained roads or does it branch off to potholed roads? Thats what really matters. You can't just have that junction and beyond it have the same old delapidated roads .

@daddyhope The sad thing is with all this information Zim citizens do absolutely nothing about it. The problem is that they take this as normal. Most of the citizens are now also corrupt so they have normalised it all.

On the left is Zimbabwe’s Local Government Minister and former Selous Scout officer, Daniel Garwe, telling Zimbabweans that the government had built a stadium for the independence event held yesterday. On the right is the stadium they built. Someone won a tender to build this rubbish, this is how they loot public funds. In the article, you will also see the lies about renovating Gokwe Hospital, including a VIP wing. VIP wing in the middle of a rural area within a hospital without even painkillers for what? The Selous Scouts were a special forces unit of the Rhodesian Army during the 1970s, formed in 1973. They were infamous for their role in the war for the liberation of Zimbabwe. They used unorthodox and brutal tactics against blacks fighting for independence. Today, one of them has a seat in Mnangagwa’s cabinet.

BIKITA Big news for Bikita. Equipment and furniture for the new Chibvure clinic in Ward 29 have arrived. This community-initiated project was made possible with devolution funds. Once open, the clinic will reduce travel distances for healthcare, saving Ward 29 residents the 15km trek to Ngorima clinic or 10km to Chitasa clinic #Bikita #HealthcareAccess

These Zimbabweans in Harare are walking on top of sewage, these women in Budiriro Township say this has been ongoing for the last five years. They say council officials have told them that the sewage will not make them sick, and if it does, they should go to clinics for treatment. The women also said that children are now falling ill from eating fruits picked from the sewage water. My dear compatriots, this cannot be allowed to continue like this. This is our country, we the privileged can’t ignore the pleas from poor members of our society. The suggestion by council that residents can simply seek medical treatment if they fall ill is callous and ignores the larger problem of inadequate infrastructure and poor governance. It also ignores that those clinics have no basic medicine like paracetamol! Access to clean water and proper sanitation is a fundamental human right, and it is unacceptable that the residents of Budiriro township have been living in such dire conditions for five years. Budiriro Township is in the southwestern part of Harare, Zimbabwe. It is a Township situated near areas like Glen View and Highfield, and it is approximately 15 kilometres from Harare’s central business district.

This is the current situation at St Mary’s Bridge in Chitungwiza, a dormitory town next to Zimbabwe’s capital, Harare. Residents of this town are being forced to walk home on foot after the Zimbabwean police blocked kombis from going beyond the bridge. Kombis are minibus taxis commonly used for public transport in Zimbabwe and are the main form of urban transport in the country. It is quite disheartening because Zimbabwe once had a thriving public transport system in all cities and towns, with buses comparable to those in many modern countries, but ZANUPF destroyed it. Chitungwiza, for instance, had a bus company called ZimElectro Motors (ZEM), which played a crucial role in providing affordable public transport for residents commuting between Chitungwiza and Harare during its operation. ZEM was owned by the Chitungwiza Town Council and was a municipally-run bus company established to provide affordable and reliable transport for residents of the town. However, when ZANUPF came into power, the company was driven into the ground. Money was looted, and unqualified managers were appointed. The rest, as they say, is history. Zimbabweans must realise that nobody is coming to save them from this abusive regime. Imagine people walking for kilometres simply because they are subjected to a useless and incompetent government that does not care about its citizens! Imagine walking from Elephant and Castle to the West End because the British Police has stopped available public transport after the government had destroyed London Underground ground and the London Transport buses or walking from Sandton City to Rosebank on foot.

This would never happen without consequences in countries like Rwanda, where there are rules governing how both local and foreign employers should behave and are enforced without fear or favour. This man was beaten at gun point and bled profusely after being fired and demanding his outstanding wages of US$600. Kholwani Dube was an excavator operator at Ming Chang Sino-Africa Mining Investments in the Midlands. Imagine the outrage if it were a white or black employer settling labour disputes with guns which are probably not licensed. In another incident, Taurai Dozva was killed at a Chinese company which is operating illegally at Premier in Old Mutare, the Chinese outfit offered US$2000 (R36,000) as compensation for his death. Imagine a life being valued at US$2000! The Chinese are not just the new colonial masters in Zimbabwe, they are slave masters doing so with the blessing of the Zimbabwean government and its crooked leaders. The liberation struggle was about human dignity and a respect for human rights among other things, yet the human dignity of the black Zimbabwean working for the Chinese has been reduced to zero, far much worse than under colonial rule! They exploit workers, fail to pay fair wages, and delay payments, when workers demand their money, they are insulted resulting in violent confrontations. They openly boast that nothing will happen to them because ZANUPF leaders are in their pockets, and it is true. Their companies do not bank money or pay fair taxes, in fact some of them don’t pay taxes with the blessing of the Zimbabwean government whose crooked leaders receive bribes. The Chinese do all this because, as they rightly claim, they have ZANUPF leaders firmly in their pockets, and they think black people are not fully developed mentally! How can we blame them for insulting us like this when ZANUPF has allowed them to destroy Zimbabwe by plundering its minerals for the benefit of China and ZANUPF crooks, rather than the country and its citizens? In 2013, Zimbabwean public intellectual Dr Ibbo Mandaza invited me to a dinner with Chinese diplomats at Great Wall in Belgravia, where they openly mocked ZANUPF leaders as clowns who abrogate their duty to protect their country’s interests in pursuit of personal gain. They argued that it was not their duty to implement fairness in any Sino (Chinese)-Zimbabwean deals, but that of the ZANUPF government. Former Chinese Deputy Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Zhao Baogang, openly called the ZANUPF government corrupt at a press conference, using an analogy about chickens, where ZANUPF did not tell the truth about the number of chickens (money) given to it by China. Many Chinese employers have exploited this corrupt mindset within ZANUPF to undermine workers, sometimes beating them, with no consequences at all. The mine where Taurai Dozva was killed was operating illegally at Premier, Old Mutare, after being shut down twice due to its illegality. However, the Chinese bosses paid bribes to ZANUPF officials, and it was reopened ending in this fatal tragedy. There is no government in Zimbabwe, there is a mafia Don running the country through criminal cartels that have ruined the nation so badly that some Zimbabweans wish for the return of colonialism. How bad must you be for your citizens to wish to exchange today’s evil for yesterday’s evil? As always, these two cases—the violent beating of Kholwani Dube in Gweru and the killing of Taurai Dozva in Mutare—will be swept under the carpet. Someone in ZANUPF will take bribes, and black Zimbabwean workers will continue to be oppressed by the Chinese slave masters supported by their ZANUPF poodles! It is sickening to imagine that this is happening in an African country like Zimbabwe in 2025, and the man presiding over it wants to remove presidential term limits so he can continue looting and protecting the Chinese slave masters! It is even more sickening that the crooks who harp on about imperialism are supporting this!

Hopewell Chin’ono@daddyhope·
This is in Masvingo’s Chivi district, where schoolchildren and the very elderly have to cross the river through its raging waters. I want to address two things. There is a myth or falsehood that the Zezurus were in power, and now the Karangas are in power to benefit their tribes, it is hogwash. This is nothing more than kindergarten-level political reasoning. When Mugabe was in power, the Zezurus were just as persecuted as the Karangas. Today, Mnangagwa, who is Karanga, is in power, and the Karangas are suffering equally. Job Sikhala who spent two years in prison without having committed a crime is Karanga, Jacob Ngarivhume comes from the heart of Karanga-land in Bikita, yet Mnangagwa has persecuted him for four years. Chivi is in the heart of Masvingo, yet Karanga children are crossing rivers through dangerous waters while Mnangagwa and his family and friends enjoy a life of luxury. Some of Mnangagwa’s runners and cartel members in his criminal syndicates are not even Karanga. Many are white! Those Karangas who are part of the looting machinery are involved not because they are Karanga but because they are his relatives and friends. Mnangagwa’s wife is not even Karanga, yet politicians exploit tribalism to stir emotions and hoodwink unsophisticated voters who are easily excited by such cheap stuff as “Vene Vayo”. This issue is evident in both ZANUPF and the opposition. When someone loses an argument, they often resort to cheap claims like “You support Tendai Biti because he is from Murewa.” This is pure nonsense propagated by political dimwits with nothing meaningful to contribute to our political discourse! Secondly, what we are seeing in this video is a clear manifestation of ZANUPF’s failures. ZANUPF is a political party with all major ethnic groups at the top! People are still crossing rivers through water in 2025, yet Mnangagwa does not even care whether it is the Karangas, Ndebeles, Manyikas, or Zezurus who are suffering. Mnangagwa is more hated in Kwekwe, the Midlands, and his own village in Mapanzure, Zvishavane, than anywhere else in the country. I have been there; I know this. They consistently voted against him from 2000 in Kwekwe which he calls home, until Robert Mugabe had to create a rural seat for him, called Chirumanzi-Zibagwe. So, I say to young Zimbabweans; do not be hoodwinked by ethnic politics from those who insult you, essentially claiming they are eating on your behalf. Almost half of the cabinet today comes from Gutu, that is how Mnangagwa is retrogressive and limited in his world view, breaking the constitution, which states that all regions must be well represented. But I dare you to visit Gutu today and see how backward it is. These political crooks do not even care about their immediate neighbours; they steal public funds and deposit them in Dubai, South Africa, and Mauritius. One senior South African bank executive told me how they had to flag millions of dollars deposited by a Zimbabwean minister. They asked him to explain where the money came from, and when he couldn’t, they closed the account. Yet, if you visit this minister’s constituency in Masvingo, you will weep when you see how the people are suffering. Zimbabweans regardless of their ethnic/tribal affiliation are all suffering, don’t be divided by small minded politicians who pretend to be with you because of where you come from. Ukaona politician akumobiliser on the basis of tribe or attacking people on the basis of their ethnicity, wotoziva kuti mumusoro idende risina chinhu. Let us get Zimbabwe fixed by choosing and supporting progressive leaders not yesterday’s men and women who don’t have an idea of where the world is going!
