"Gott Mit Uns" was an old slogan from Prussia and it predates the Nazis. Worth mentioning also that the slogan appeared ONLY on the belt buckles of the Wehrmacht Heer.
The slogan does not appear at all on SS and Hitler Youth buckles, which used explicitly NS slogans.
