Don't get me wrong not immediately fixing the content vault was Bungie's greatest mistake, but their article explaining why they had to do it should've been "THE GAME WILL EXPLODE IF WE DONT DO THIS" copy pasted over and over bc people STILL think vaulting was about install size

@FarrisOfThemAII @Rante_tweets Yeah nah I understand that, but I think there were definitely workarounds to keep important content such as the vaulted raids that they didn't want to bring back for some reason. I doubt it was purely a technical limitation.

@Soul_OW2 @Rante_tweets Definitely not but I only use that phrasing because that's what Bungie themselves said to justify content vaulting, IIRC the example they gave was Warmind's story missions being only 0.3% of playtime during Y3 despite taking up about 4% of the game's filesize.

@Rante_tweets Because that doesn't solve the problem that actually caused sunsetting which was old content that nobody was playing broke constantly and greatly slowed down development. Bungie would still have to make the game under the assumption that players have that old content installed.
