After weeks in the barn for an injury, Whisper returns to his devoted mother, Aerial, best buddy, Dalton, and his #wildhorse herd. They call and race to each other with so much excitement that he literally jumps for joy. A reunion of utter elation.

@data_republican I have been thinking about how rich politicians become after they are elected and have come to the conclusion that it’s time to do away with lobbyists in this country. The people we elect to represent us end up selling out to the highest bidder.

I have never been a Democrat. My views align more closely with Republicans, but after the last 24 hours my disgust is paralyzing. I have not supported a third party because I remember when it handed Bill Clinton the presidency. I signed the petition for the Convention of States but remain skeptical because there will be no agreement. What's left? I love our country. What can we do besides shout on X which doesn't seem very effective?

I am old enough that I used the original Polaroid when it first came on the market. One thing I have noticed is all of my photos are fading and turning black. I have actually been using my phone to take pictures trying to salvage them before they disappear. I’m sure the new technology has improved.

📸FUNKY CAMERA PHOTOGRAPHY TIMELINE CLEANSE📸 So a few weeks back I made a post about how instant photography (like old Polaroids) is making a comeback. I find this to be both ironic and fun. We are so accustomed to digital images that the idea of having a unique, one-of-a-kind instant photo you can hold in your hand is a powerful “new” form of photography. Fujifilm’s Instax line is leading the charge. (I’ll put some camera links below.) Instax makes two categories of instant cameras: (1) purely instant film cameras and (2) “hybrid” instant cameras. The hybrids will capture a digital image and then let you decide which ones to print. The hybrids produce low-res, 16 megapixel digital images, but Fuji gives them a wealth of crazy, artistic settings you can flow through by flicking some dials. Hundreds of combinations are possible, most of which create a 1960s film aesthetic. I love the creativity this affords. I was just in New Jersey for my brother’s funeral. As a mind cleanse after the funeral, I spent the day at the beach in Cape May, NJ with my new Instax Wide Evo, playing with the various creative settings. I love this shot of a stranger staring out at the beach—it perfectly captured my sad, contemplative mood. Instax Wide Evo, 2.1mm fixed lens, ISO 100, 1/8000th, f/2.4 This camera is SO FULL of creative potential, right out of the camera. I love it.

You are going above and beyond to get this law passed, unfortunately I don’t think the majority of our Senators even care if they are re-elected. They apparently are receiving more benefits selling us out than if they actually represent us. Maybe @DataRepublican can follow the money trail so we can see who controls our politicians.

Sometimes, I wonder why I do this work. I wonder why I work so hard to elect Republican majorities into office & — when we are in power — our very elected officials don’t wield or harness that power. I wonder why I lose sleep, miss family vacations, & put my personal life on hold, so wealthy Senators can go on paid vacations after not achieving the very promises they campaigned on. Sometimes, I wonder if they truly care about us & if they actually want to represent the will of the very people that elected them into positions of authority. I will tell you this: if the Senate ultimately does not pass the SAVE America Act, I will use all of the energy, hustle, & organizing efforts we used to elect these Senators into office as tools to peacefully & respectfully defeat them in their upcoming elections.

1/ The Kaufman 15 were sold Sale Authority (SA) at a BLM adoption event in Livingston, TX to a husband, wife and two others from Pollok, TX, who drove them directly to the Last Chance Direct Ship Horses kill pen in Kaufman, Texas. This is a federal offense.

Zebras are “exotics” prone to all sorts of local diseases. Their medical care is very expensive - another reason they are dumped in kill pens. Ziggy receives specialized care from my personal funds, separately from Skydog's wild horse care program.

Consequently, they are sold to kill pens. It's tragic that African native species are ending up in the American slaughter pipeline.

Ziggy was 6 weeks old when we found him alone in a kill pen, hysterical without his mother. A victim of the 'canned hunt' industry where people pay to shoot trapped #zebras. Babies are taken from their mothers days old and sold as pets, but they are too wild to be domesticated.

When Ford - a #blueroan #wildhorse from Devil’s Garden - was repeatedly returned to USFS corrals as “too wild to handle”, they reached out to us. He joined a herd of very wild guys, but bonded with a tamer soul, Tesoro, his very best friend. His story: bit.ly/3PC9RhT
