@chartmariah I expect there’s a few tapes out there, it was the 80s & Mariah was handing her tape out to anyone who would listen. I’m surprised she doesn’t have a copy.

Rolling Stone reports Mariah Carey's original 1980s demo tape will go up for auction in December: “The tape features a couple of covers, as well as a handful of raw original songs Carey had written and recorded herself. Also includes early, unreleased recordings, as well as songs Carey recorded with Brenda K. Starr. Carey’s voice and talent is front and center the whole time”.
