This year marks 20 years of my journey in Ghana’s media and entertainment space, and what a ride it has been! It all began when I won Best Publishing Student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in 2005. The award, sponsored by @ovationmediagroup, opened my very first professional door. As part of the package, I completed my National Service as a reporter and writer with Ovation International Magazine, and later with Star Newspaper. From there, the path kept unfolding. I went on to contribute to several pan-African online publications, served as Ghana Lead for AfricaNews.com (Voices of Africa), worked as Content Editor at @theghanaweb, Project Lead at @pulseghana, Country Manager at @yencomghnews, and Honorary Editor-in-Chief at @scooper_gh. Through it all, my proudest achievement remains the creation of AmeyawDebrah.com, one of the most successful and respected platforms for celebrity news and lifestyle content in Ghana. I’m already looking forward to celebrating 20 years of AmeyawDebrah.com as well. The platform became a home for entertainment news and a launchpad for both emerging and established talents across music, film, fashion, and the arts, giving them space to tell their stories and showcase their craft. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has supported me and continues to do so in this ever-evolving media landscape. To the advertisers who believed in my brand, trusted my vision, and allowed me to create quality content in my own voice, without chasing trends or traffic, thank you! All of your support, whether as family, friend or audience has played a vital role in shaping what Ameyaw Debrah Media has become, and it will never go unnoticed. Cheers to 20 years and what the future holds! 🙏
