@CoachCherry93 It’s an antiquated phrase in the time of NIL, transfer portal, and “one-and-dones .” It did matter at one point, though, and still helps with recruitment for some. Their boosters have scratch to contribute.

@CoachCherry93 College basketball has changed a lot over the past 40 years. Those programs are original established enters of excellence. Indiana and UCLA are no longer relevant like that and can easily be replaced by Duke and UConn. Kansas, Kentucky, and UNC still field winning teams, 4now.

What does it take to be considered a blue blood. UConn meets the criteria. They have just as many national titles as North Carolina. They have produced a long list of NBA talent. They should be on the list with UCLA, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Duke and North Carolina.
