Last week, someone skimmed my Discover card and tried to immediately charge $1500+- to DoorDash/BB. Discover shut it down immediately and without an issue. Then, tonight, we found someone did something similar to my wife's @SouthStateBank debit card w 4 quick charges to Levi's over $600. No notifications from them, and it took 2 looooong calls just to dispute the charges. It might take another 30 days to get our $ back. Needless to say, our checking account is about to be switched to our credit union where my car loan is or Discover checking ASAP.

Customer service is our top priority. The comments made to our customer were inappropriate, and we are addressing the situation. To be clear, the customer’s purchase was not declined; there was an activation issue with the debit card. The customer has been served, and the situation has been resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

Fuck that bank... more importantly fuck that person refusing to let someone spend their money how they see fit.
