The King of X. I don't know him personally, but when I had fewer than 100 followers and was just a tiny account, he followed me and actually interacted with my posts. Despite having a massive audience, he never acted like he was above anyone. Even today, he still replies sometimes. His posts have always been motivating. They're short, but they carry far more value than the endless stream of low-effort one-liners flooding the platform. His videos are great, and more importantly, he genuinely supports creators. I've seen him subscribe to creators, buy artwork from artists on X, and help more genuine people than the platform itself often does. He may have broken the rules, but I agree with one thing he said in his video: policies should be implemented looking forward, not backward. And if platforms want to enforce rules retroactively, then they should also compensate creators whose monetization was wrongly removed for months before later admitting it was a mistake. If you're going to look backward for penalties, you should also look backward for fairness. Creators should have the opportunity to learn from mistakes. People naturally move toward whatever is rewarded. That's how incentives work. If the platform pays hundreds or even thousands of dollars for engagement-farming one-liners while giving them millions of impressions, why are creators being blamed for making that content? I've seen posts as simple as, "Do you think protein is good for muscle growth?" explode to over a million impressions in two days because the algorithm rewarded them. If you want better content, reward better content. Push long-form posts, videos, live streams, articles, and original work. Remove the financial incentive for spammy one-liners, and people will naturally stop posting them. I'm an artist. One drawing can take me multiple sessions to complete, and I earn nothing from it. Then I watch someone post a one-line question every hour and make thousands of dollars every payout cycle. It's frustrating, but it also shows where the incentives are. The solution isn't to remove creators. The solution is to fix what the algorithm rewards. Most creators who are in this for a living will naturally create the type of content the platform promotes. Even I was tempted—I tried posting one-liners myself, and my impressions immediately went up. That's not because creators are the problem. It's because the system encourages that behavior. I stand with you, King of X—not because you're perfect, but because you've supported countless creators, owned up to your mistakes, and said you were willing to change. Accountability should matter, and so should second chances.
