This afternoon the Governor and Professor Nimmo visited Warwick Hospital and toured the facility. The Vice-Regal couple met with staff, volunteers and patients.

CLOSED // OO Madsen Bridge at Warwick is now closed. The road will reopen once water has receded and an inspection has been done to ensure it is safe to reopen. Council urges residents to limit travel, to drive to conditions and be vigilant for flash flooding. #MySDRC

STEPPING DOWN TO ALERT STATUS // Due to rainfall easing across the region and flood waters remaining steady or falling throughout the catchment area, the Southern Downs Local Disaster Management Group is moving to ALERT status. We will continue to closely monitor water levels.

ALLORA UPDATE AS AT 3:30PM: The SES has advised that the river level is holding steady at 4m, which indicates that no homes in the local area are expected to be affected by flood waters at this time. Please visit the Disaster Dashboard for updates: disasterdashboard.sdrc.qld.gov.au

Leslie Dam is expected to reach 100% capacity later today. It is anticipated that Leslie Dam Road will be closed from 4pm today and water will be released around 6pm. For up-to-date info on road closures visit disasterdashboard.sdrc.qld.gov.au.

@SouthernDowns continues to respond to rising water ways across the region. The Local Disaster Management Centre remains at STAND UP and is liaising closely with @BOM_au and QFES. Current modelling remains unchanged and up-to-date data is available at disasterdashboard.sdrc.qld.gov.au.

IMPORTANT FLOOD UPDATE Wednesday 1 December ‼️ #WARWICK AND #PRATTEN. Updated flood modelling from BoM suggests a 6.5m flood at Warwick around 7am today and a 7.3m flood potentially early to mid-afternoon at Pratten today. Rural Fire Service is door-knocking in Pratten.
