ARC 2 have had a very exciting Spring Term. In Curriculum Enrichment they have visited the Jodrell Bank Observatory and climbed Tegs Nose, Mam Tor and The Cloud. #MamTor #semh #outdooreducation

Year5 have been creating Art Monsters while developing stitching skills. They can thread a needle & use different sewing techniques such as running stitch, back stitch & cross stitch to add patterns, details, & texture to their designs, showing patience & creativity skills #semh

The year 11s are fast approaching their GCSEs, and are currently studying The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe. They are looking at conflict and perspective, understanding the issues with unreliable narratives when it comes to writing.

KS2 completed the London Mini Marathon. In year 6, We had lots of fun with World book day and used great teamwork in our food tech sessions. We have also celebrated some birthdays #semh #hardwork

ARC Yr11 In English pupils been exploring horror writing through The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe. Students have been examining how language & structure create tension & suspense, looking closely at how the narrator’s voice builds an unsettling atmosphere throughout #semh

Group 5 at the top of Mam Tor in the Peak district. Allowing them to experience wonderful landscapes and terrain not matter the weather including a slight Gale on that day #DofE #outdooreducation #semh

On DofE pupils have visited locations with Manchester city centre. Historical locations and to inform pupils about the history of their own city & this is of Castlefield bowl, a location used for filming Peaky Blinders & as the original location of Roman fort of Mancunium #DofE

Pathways students visited the top of Todmorden and climbed the challenging hill to see what is called the "the highest beach in Britain " very windy! & a refreshing walk around Dove Stone Reservoir where students enjoyed the beautiful views of the Saddleworth Moors #semh #ebsa

Year 8 have had a really successful art class making clay pots practising their clay moulding skills & creating their own little pots. Next week they will be making sculptures of the monsters. We cant wait to see their imaginative creations come to life! #semh #art #3dproject

The students have been researching Megacities, what makes them, how they are modelled and how they could impact society in their respected countries. They are using data to map and predict population rise, then compare how megacities have grown and developed. #geography #semh
