🖤 Southside Black History Month Door Contest Our halls are bursting with creativity as classrooms decorate doors to honor Black leaders, artists, and trailblazers. We can’t wait to see more amazing designs — and crown this year’s winning door on Friday!

🐧 Balloon Penguin Waddle Race! Our students had an absolute blast waddling their way across the room in this silly, high‑energy balloon penguin race. Lots of laughter, lots of teamwork, and plenty of wiggly penguin moves. Such a fun way to bring joy into the day!

🌟 Moral Focus: Perseverance We’re proud of these students for pushing through challenges, staying focused, and giving their best effort all month long. Their perseverance shines bright and inspires our whole school community. Great job, scholars!

💛 Spreading Kindness, One Door at a Time Our girls’ basketball team spent the day leaving heartfelt notes on teachers’ doors — a simple gesture to remind them how valued they are. Your dedication, patience, and passion make a difference every day. Thank you for all you do.

🏀 Game Day Highlight – Southside Academy Girls Modified Basketball Last night, our Girls Modified Basketball squad took on Lafayette and brought all the energy. Big jump‑off vibes, solid teamwork, and an 18–10 win to wrap it all up. Great job, team!
