Do you know that one of the most exhausting, invisible tax on the male psyche is that society views them as a default threat until proven otherwise. From the time they hit puberty, men are forced to spend their entire lives silently managing the anxieties of everyone around them. They cross the street at night, soften their voices, shrink their physical presence, and meticulously monitor their own body language just so they don't accidentally intimidate someone. ​We demand that men be big, capable, and dangerous enough to protect us from the world, but we actively penalize them for occupying space. The absolute exhaustion of walking through your entire life knowing you are presumed guilty, dangerous, or toxic just for existing in a male body is a crushing psychological weight that nobody ever acknowledges. Men are forced to actively perform "harmlessness" every single day just to be allowed to exist peacefully in public, and they do it in complete silence.

This is the most dangerous double standard in modern relationships. When a wife is angry, society allows her to yell, break things, hurl insults, and be entirely unhinged because she is just "expressing her emotions." But the exact second a husband matches her energy, raises his voice, or shows visible frustration, he is suddenly labeled "scary" or "abusive." Society has taught women to weaponize a man's natural size and stoicism against him. He is forced to swallow his anger and remain perfectly calm while taking verbal abuse, just so he isn't painted as a monster in his own home
