@1mpact38 @AbsoluteCinEva The tech is actually kind of cool. The reason it’s not bannable is because it doesn’t actually interfere with the game environment at all; it just recognizes images to look at the screen and then sends touch inputs.

@deathbybadger I never allow torture or work in a game I GM because it doesn't actually work in real life. Also, there's like spells that can reliably get information but everyone always defaults to torture because media acts like it's effective.

The stance seems to be that they were politically motivated thugs who were only on the right side of history by accident. As servants they want to try to live up to their undeservedly good reputations.

@HoolheyaksGF @MayaTree0 I thought the big premise of RI hiring was that they don’t ask questions and don’t really care where ops come from as long as they can follow orders. Eblana randomly incinerates innocent civilians just for standing nearby during chapter 12 so anything goes at this point.

"Chosen one" roleplaying games are so incredibly boring and I really wish we made a return to playing everyday plebs who build legends. I've never enjoyed playing as some destined hero, chosen by fate to save the kingdom or universe. In fact, I think the beauty of starting as a nobody, building your rep and then finding your crew is one of the best things about RPG's. Probably the reason I love the OG Fallout games and New Vegas, because despite having a background - you're still just some guy. I also love the idea of being someone who wanders town to town, growing your skills and unravelling the main story. I think Morrowind and Oblivion does this well, primarily because of the different guilds and houses. I guess what I'm saying is that I value games that are actual RPG's and not banal ego boosting "pick me" games.

@MartinRom5 @RDelgad11820767 @fioobsie Taken one step further. Endfield uses the term “Handcannons” and in Arknights handcannons are very literally just gun-shaped magic wands that shoot channeled arts (Terra: A Journey p.59). TangTang definitely is just casting spells.

@RDelgad11820767 @fioobsie Tbf in Arknights specifically a Caster is somebody utilizing Arts (Magic but also kinda not Magic). It's just also a part of the setting that Gunpowder does not exist and Guns are fired by utilizing Arts through both the Gun and the Bullet being an Arts Unit.

@AngryTrapMidget @FamGuyMoments77 That is to say: Tangtang’s weapons are not significantly different from wands at all. Vigil is doing the same thing in AK and his weapons are literally described at gun-shaped wands.

@AngryTrapMidget @FamGuyMoments77 Its probably also pretty deliberate that Endfield calls them Handcannons. In AK handcannonons don’t shoot any kind of projectile and are just a way to channel arts that Iberians invented in aesthetic imitation of Lateran guns (Terra: A Journey p.59).

@AvywennasGF Iirc, she gets introduced after you first save the Stockade from aggeloi. Its mentioned that she came from Wuling and that's why she looks a little different form the rest of them (which really she doesn't but there's no point questioning it).

@specterpilled Plenty of non-infected ops wear monitors (Saga, Archetto). He’s definitely a little quirky for the diamond shaped face tattoos though you’re not crazy.

@fioobsie Glad that modern meta ops have some noticeable limitations. Saki is so incredibly useless in that IS6 bosky stage where the op-eating dragon is running through the bottom of the screen with hundreds of those little even mechanic weirdos floating around.
