Despite its appearance, Winter Gold for the SNES isn't a "3D" game, but an FMV game. It was partially developed by Paul Endresen of Spaceballs, creator of the Amiga's famous State of the Art demo, and it reused that demo's technique of compressing video data via vectorization.
