NFTs today are often perceived as speculative digital collectibles without tangible utilities. The @Spacers_NFT collection challenges this perception by showcasing many practical applications and benefits. Let's dive into the Spacers NFT Collection. ✅ Spacers NFT Overview Spacers NFT, minted on Moonbeam, is the flagship NFT collection of the @SubsocialChain and serves as the VIP ticket to the Subsocial ecosystem products. These are 10,000 utility-packed robot NFTs created using the @RmrkApp NFT 2.0 Standards. ✅ Brief overview of Subsocial Chain Subsocial is a @Polkadot parachain that provides the infrastructure and tools for building decentralized social media applications. With Subsocial, you can build censorship-resistant social media platforms where users control their data and accounts. The UI of the social media dApps built on Subsocial is comparable to the web2 applications. Bring hosted on SubsocialChain (a blockchain network); you can create a customized incentive layer for your creators and audience. Currently, there are 10+ dApps on top of Subsocial. To showcase the power of this infrastructure, Subsocial created their flagship social media dApp Polkaverse, a web3 version of Medium. Most Polkadot ecosystem projects and media houses like @AstarNetwork, @AjunaNetwork, @TheKusamarian, and others consider posting their content on Polkaverse. ✅ Spacers utilities Holding a Spacer NFT gives you special powers and perks in the SubVerse. 1⃣ Free energy on Polkaverse Basically, Subsocial is a blockchain network, and transactions require a fee to be paid in SUB tokens. To enhance the user experience, there is a concept of "Energy." Energy is like credits that allow users to perform actions within Polkaverse. SUB tokens are burnt to get energy, which enables you to perform 4x-5x more actions. Being a Spacer NFT holder, you are entitled to receive free energy and can perform actions (like posting, sharing, etc.) without any limitations on Polkaverse. There is no hassle of buying SUB tokens and burning them to get energy. 2⃣ Increased visibility of posts Twitter announced the Blue tier, which promised to boost content to reach more viewers. In the same way, holding a spacer NFT gives increased visibility to your Polkaverse posts. This feature is very beneficial for marketing or awareness campaigns as it helps reach a greater audience. 3⃣ Premium Sub.ID features Sub.id is a one-stop shop for dotsama accounts and addresses. Entering a user's address of one parachain will fetch the address and balance of that user on all other parachains. Thus, if you have someone's Kusama address, with Sub.id you can fetch the address of all other chains like Acala, Phala, etc. While this feature is beneficial for tipping and managing portfolios, this isn't privacy-friendly. By holding a Spacer, you can hide your account so that no one can see your holding on other substrate chains. 4⃣ Free .spacer Dotsama Domain In 2021, there was a trend of showcasing your web3 domain names. People spent thousands of dollars to purchase their desired domain name. Holding a spacer allows you to claim a .spacer domain name. ✅ The NFT 2.0 aspect There are four tiers - Marine, Officer, Captain, Admiral. Based on the rarity, these Robot NFTs have up to nine slots to equip child NFTs. Since the collection utilizes ERC 6059 and 6220, the NFTs are fully composable, i.e., you can unequip and sell your child NFTs separately. The parent Robot NFT owns multiple child NFTs like Hat, Mask, Sword, Gun, etc. The holder can equip/unequip any child NFT. The holder can thus hyper-customize his Spacer as per his preference. You can purchase Spacers on the one and only Singular NFT 2.0 Marketplace: singular.app/collectibles/m… ✅ To wrap up! With actual utilities and underlying NFT 2.0 tech, spacers are superior to 95% of other NFT collections. While Spacers do have actual utilities, this doesn't imply they will appreciate in value. If it gave similar benefits to Twitter, it would have skyrocketed in value as Twitter has a decent user base. Thus, the success of Spacers would depend on the adoption of the Subsocial ecosystem products. That's a wrap!
