Great to see #PostOffice scandal reported on BBC news tonight but unbelievable (second thoughts not really) to hear someone asking why any big organisation would apologise to anyone and therefore admit liability? What a sad and sorry world.

It was a lie
Motive was to manipulate the market by misleading investors, including pension funds & staff. It's why FCA has blocked the investigation of HBOS & deleted the statement

To the best of my knowledge 5 of the 6 are out and the majority of the victims have not been compensated. The stress of this saga has been horrendous and worse than a prison sentence. I know, I have no fingers or toes as a result. Meanwhile #HBOS bosses have nothing to answer for

It's now almost 5 years since the defendants in the #HBOS Reading trials were convicted - many of the 6 convicted are out or soon will be. The majority of victims have still not been compensated. Justice? I don't think so.

That's the terrifying thing - the Government used behavioural psychologists to frighten people into compliance of the sinister and the absurd. And because some in Gov knew that's what was done, they felt happy to party because they knew it was a construct. Very sick behaviour.

A huge win. My backbench colleagues & I have been pushing hard to spare the sack for tens of thousands of NHS & care workers.
It beggars belief that the PM & Health Secretary kept insisting on bulldozing this policy through, despite warnings of staff shortages, for so long.
