My Top 10 Linebackers for the 2027 #NFLDraft are officially live, and I’ll be honest right now, this class has more questions than answers. It’s arguably the weakest position group I’ve covered so far in the class, with a lot of projection and not many finished products. But once the pads come on later this fall and we get some additional tape, we could finally start to see who separates. But tap in and check out who I have at the top of the board at linebacker, and make sure you check out all the other content I have rolling (also, make sure you subscribe for more! It’s free!) ⬇️

@CarasikS If I’m in round 4/5 and it’s a dart throw, I’d send it in. But not round 1/2, no way lol

I get the love for Chambliss. I do. It’s fun tape to watch and it’s exciting, but consider me lower (round 4 range) on Chambliss. But the comp for Trinidad Chambliss for me, to give some hope:

@SparkScouting I like the Russell Wilson comp. He seems to have that kind of juice. Looking forward to seeing how he plays this year.

@CarasikS I’m at a fourth, but I can see later than that absolutely. I was only saying Russ as a best case scenario for his frame in the NFL

My top 10 QBs: x.com/sparkscouting/… As far as sleepers? Some names off the radar a bit: Jaden Craig, TCU Ty Pennington, Northern Arizona Jordan Cooke, Idaho State Katin Houser, Illinois And some more popular names that aren’t as high worth a look: Nico Iamaleava, UCLA Jayden Maiava, USC Demond Williams, Washington

As the calendar flips to July, my Summer Scouting Top 10 QBs for the 2027 #NFLDraft just dropped. From elite arm talent to the guys who popped on tape way earlier than expected, man is this class fun. If you’re into traits, projection, and a couple spicy rankings… you’ll want to read this one (and subscribe for all the other positions also!) New breakdown is live now. ⬇️

@SparkScouting @OmariiBrown As a Texans fan I understand the comp. I think he is the best QB in the BIG12 I don’t know if you follow that conference. What would you your sleeper QB be I know you are high on Bailey

Drew Mestemaker | QB | Oklahoma State ➕ Led FBS w/4,379 passing yds 34 TDs ➕ Arm talent ⬆️⬆️ ➕ Quick Processing ➕ Elite pocket presence ➕ Zero star walk on to Conf POY ➖ Ball placement ➖ Longer release ➖ Competition questions (will be answered with transfer to Big 12) Easily the best backstory of the QB crop. Didn’t start at QB for his HS ( he was the punter) and had no offers coming out. Walked on to North Texas and won the job in his RS Fr year and lit up the American conference. Plays the position with a natural feel and poise with the right amount risk taking you want in a signal caller. Can make every throw. Reps and experience against stiffer competition is what’s next for Mestemaker.

@NicholasBraxt10 @OmariiBrown Drew Mestemaker now? Davis Mills. The ceiling, if everything clicks? Drake Maye. I think he can get there, but he’s a 2028 guy if I were a betting man

That’s fair. It’s really the willingness to seek out contact at his size and the fact that his throws just die on the deeper outs, both of which were Garcia staples. I still think the “first-second round” talk for him is way off base; the weight would be 9th percentile and the height would be 2nd percentile. Your best case for his success is Russell Wilson, who was a 3rd rounder

@JwacReactions @OmariiBrown Arm talent wise he doesn’t have a bad arm in the slightest. Release point and ball placement, there’s an argument to be had there on it needing work for me on Mestemaker imo

@OmariiBrown @SparkScouting I saw legitimate scouts saying he has a bad arm… I think they watched it blindfolded

@JAYCH3FED Just barely missed the cut (LB13) on Alliegro. That arm injury really hampered him last year, and he’s good on the blitz with his speed and burst, but there’s a lot more missing to become a complete LB. But man, he’d be a special teams DEMON imo

Indiana Wesleyan TE Simon Vinson (@SimonVinson41) is one of the top returning tight ends in NAIA football heading into the 2026 season. The Colon, Michigan native earned First Team All-MSFA Mideast honors after hauling in 40 receptions for 637 yards and 7 touchdowns in 2025. Vinson has an opportunity to post even bigger numbers in 2026 and should contend for All-American honors. #NAIAFB #BothAnd #TheRightWayToPlay

NEWS: Missouri running back Ahmad Hardy, a consensus All-American in 2025, is “medically cleared” from his gunshot wound this summer but the timeline of his return to play this year for the Tigers is still uncertain, per coach Eli Drinkwitz.
