May is Mental Health Awareness Month.
I myself have had challenges with my own mental health which was brought on by grief, loss and just the trials and tribulations life brings.
In 2024, I went to a psychiatric facility for a week and I learned many things that have helped shape my life for the better.
The biggest and most important understanding about bettering your life is realizing to stop sweating the small stuff and control what you can control. Being in there, no phone, no nothing and guess what? The world continued around me.
It's absolutely clear that one of the reasons that mental health has gotten worse for people are these damn phones we've obsessed over that control our lives.
I now spend an hour a day with my phone not in my possession and go do stuff to strengthen my mind, body and soul.
Put the phone down. It makes a difference.

Everyone knows golf is a bipolar game, but Tyler Collet (Vero Beach, FL) took it to the next level at Bandon Dunes this week.
Collet, the defending champ at the @PGA Pro Championship, shot 81 in the third round to plummet more than 40 spots down the leaderboard. Then in the final round, he turned in the best score of the day, a 67. Now he’s headed to Aronimink.

Vegas. A time was had. Made some great memories with some great people. Made a bunch of new friends. And we made a lot of people laugh. I’d say that’s a hell of a week! So grateful, and love you all so much. @barstoolspringb @Vegas
