So sad to learn @PeteSanders51 has died. It was an honour to work with him & @Sparkledalchemy on First Steps over the last few years. Amid all the toil, what stays with me is how much we laughed. A kindred spirit I met too late.

I find it insulting for the MBs to suggest that A’s can do this (see highlighted) with NONE of the recognition that those therapists in B&C enjoy. Experience tells us they will most likely be asked to do more for lower wages or unpaid. I’m beyond 1/#SCoPEd #TherapistsConnect

This isn't because white middle class people are better therapists with more skills, it is because on the whole THEY HAVE MORE MONEY.

The new SCoPEd framework is a joke. I am ashamed of this profession, its gatekeeping of minoritised people out of the profession and resultingly gatekeeping of minoritised clients out of appropriate therapeutic relationships. Shame on the orgs involved.

@MariaAlbertsen_ Membership - could be C, because higher than B, but no equivalent. Length of core training C? Depends what counts. Training hrs C. Training client hrs B. Level 11...in Scotland. Not equivalent because the levels in this don't apply in Scotland.

Therapists shouting at clients is something I have heard about probably hundreds of times. If you raise your voice to your client ever, under any circumstance, you are out of your depth & need to seek comprehensive supervision immediately. It is a matter of client safety.

@SussexCounsell1 Absolutely not. It's never even entered my head to do it in 14 years of PP, & in my last week of work I'll be using my partner's counselling space & he wouldn't either. It would be insensitive to many of my particular clients.

@MariaAlbertsen_ I've been trying to find one but every one I come across tells me they won't treat me as I have BPD and we are typically problematic patients for them and the other half tell me they are not equipped to help.
