Coding skills still matter in the age of AI. In some ways, they matter even more. AI can help write code faster. It can suggest solutions, generate boilerplate, and speed up debugging. But strong developers are still needed to: 👉 understand the problem properly 👉 judge whether the output is actually correct 👉 design systems that scale and make sense 👉 adapt solutions to real business needs 👉 take ownership and fix when things break In other words, AI can assist with coding. But it still takes human skill to build good software.
