Thank you all for watching the stream today of Junji Ito Maniac: An Infinite Gaol. Though I had a good time with the game, here is my review: If you're into the Junji Ito manga series, this game might be for you. However, if you're an enthusiast of indie horror, this might not be as enjoyable. The overall gameplay, character/enemy animations and audio, were fantastic! I like how the statue enemies looked human while they walked, but when they walk over a bear trap, they crumble to the ground realistically. I loved that! Unfortunately, the game tries to do way too much. After some research, the game is a small collection of Junji Ito's stories tied into a single game. If the developers focused on a central story, then maybe branched off from there with sequels, this might have been a better game. But because of this, the game relies on having the player replay the entire game over again to unlock, or discover, the multiple endings that this has. Plus, from my gameplay, there were only 2 enemy type: Walking statues and the spider-hair creatures with human faces. That was it. After completing the game the first time, I had no desire to play the game all over again to experince the endings. I gave Junji Ito Maniac: An Infinite Gaol a 3/5 My rating system: 1 = Horrible game. Don't even look at it. 2 = Bad game. 3 = Average.
