@RutgersAltRoute A4: HIB allows teachers the opportuity to teach their students how to respect one another and reslove conflict the right way. However, it also makes it more diffcult to teach when the learning environment has been compromised and students don't feel safe #AltRtEd #SafeSchools

@RutgersAltRoute A4: I love giving feedback that is interactive and requires students to respond to. I feel like feedback should be more reflective and not just focus on what you did wrong. I often find myself thanking my students for attempting an assignment, complimenting them on what they did

@NClerihue @RutgersAltRoute Initially, I like to set mini-goals as a class for more lengthier assignments and check in as a way to help students pace themselves with longer due dates. Then on an individual basis to help my students who need more consistent feedback and direction.

@RutgersAltRoute A2: Teachers can normalize the struggle. Show students how to embrace and really learn from their mistakes. And create a learning environment that is tailored to the learning process as oppose to finding right answers. #AltRtEd #Growthmindset
