I was asked hundreds if not THOUSANDS of times during the subathon for my thoughts on the World Cup. Every time I answered the same: "I don't really care." People were SHOCKED to hear this. In absolute DISBELIEF that I didn't want to drop everything and do World Cup watch parties, and appalled that I didn't follow it at all. With the subathon ending this morning, I said fuck it, let's see what all the hype is about, and I watched the World Cup final. 3 hours later, I can confidently say that nothing in my life has changed after watching that. I still don't care. I imagine it's a great moment for the country of the winners, and the players, so congratulations to them. Everyone's free to spend their free time doing what they want, just isn't for me I guess.
