I view endorsing court packing as one of the most intellectually humiliating things a supposedly intelligent person can do. Nothing more quickly makes me lose all respect for a person than seeing them do this. Like, oh, you are just a midwit institutional arsonist. Good to know.

The Supreme Court has engaged in an ugly recidivism that has marked the fastest rollback of Black political rights since Reconstruction. 18 year terms limits on Justices now. Expand the court from 9 to 13 Justices now.

California Gov Gavin Newsom pushes hard for renewable energy. But Californians now know that this kind of power isn’t reliable. Residents pay MORE. Then they're told to use LESS power to avoid blackouts.

Activist: "Your cows are putting carbon into the atmosphere." Farmer: "Where did they get it?" Activist: "What?" Farmer: "The carbon. Where did the cow get it before it put it anywhere." Activist: "From... eating?" Farmer: "From eating grass. And where did the grass get it." Activist: "The soil?" Farmer: "The air. The grass pulled it out of the air last spring. The cow ate the grass. The cow breathed some of it back out. It went back into the air it came from." Activist: "But it's still going into the atmosphere." Farmer: "It's going back. There's a difference between a thing going somewhere and a thing going back. You've described a circle and you're frightened of it." Activist: "Then just don't have the cow." Farmer: "The grass still dies in autumn. It rots where it falls. The carbon goes back into the air either way, just without anyone getting fed in the middle." Activist: "It's not that simple." Farmer: "It's grass, cow, breath, grass. Or it's grass, rot, air, grass. Same circle, fewer dinners. If that's complicated for you I'd stay away from the water cycle. That one's got clouds in it."

“Taxpayers should never be on the hook just because a major airline doesn’t make a monthly profit for a new route to their city. 🚨Big Announcement!!! This October, I’m heading to Taiwan.🇹🇼 I’m honored to stand with the Taiwanese people and their unwavering commitment to freedom. During my visit, I’ll be meeting with government officials, speaking at universities, engaging with young leaders, and hosting basketball camps for the next generation of athletes. I look forward to visiting a nation that refuses to bow to intimidation and continues to stand strong in the face of adversity. See you soon, Taiwan!

Parents protest the cost of day care. Government says: “We’ll pay!” But government money comes with government rules. Those rules make day care WORSE. “Those rules... don't end up helping kids as much as raising costs," says @carrielukas of @IWF.

As someone who resided in Sweden from 1980-82, I witnessed first-hand many failures of Swedish socialism. I fear the US is looking today a lot more like Sweden 1981 than Sweden 2026.
Handre@Handre

Sweden's socialist experiment collapsed spectacularly in the early 1990s, forcing politicians to abandon decades of central planning and embrace free markets. The results speak louder than any economic textbook ever could. By 1990, Sweden's government consumed 67% of GDP. The marginal tax rate hit 87%. Capital flight accelerated as entrepreneurs fled to countries that didn't punish success. The krona crashed. Banks failed. Unemployment spiked to 9.9% by 1997. Sweden's welfare state had priced itself out of reality, just as free market economists predicted it would. Then came the great reversal. Sweden privatized telecommunications, postal services, railways, and electricity. Politicians slashed the corporate tax rate from 57% to 22%. They introduced school vouchers, allowing parents to choose private schools with taxpayer funding. They partially privatized pensions, letting workers invest in individual accounts instead of relying solely on government promises. Most importantly, they eliminated wealth taxes and inheritance taxes that had driven capital overseas. The recovery was swift and decisive. GDP growth accelerated. Unemployment plummeted to 6.1% by 2007. Sweden became a tech powerhouse, producing global companies like Spotify and Skype. The Stockholm stock exchange outperformed most European markets. Foreign investment flowed back as Sweden transformed from socialist cautionary tale to Nordic success story. Today's American progressives love citing "Scandinavian socialism" while ignoring that Sweden's prosperity stems from abandoning socialism when it failed. They want the Sweden of 2023 while implementing the policies of 1975.

UNBELIEVABLE. Vice President Vance just did a double take after hearing this wild stat dropped by Dr. Oz: "You're saying that we kicked off 800 fraudulent healthcare providers off of the Medicare system and not a single one of them called the government and said, 'hey, you made a mistake?'" "It's just completely insane."

There was never a $12 billion hole in the budget. That fairy tale was cooked up to justify reckless spending and political theater. I left the incoming administration with $8 billion in reserves, not a financial apocalypse. Albany election-year bailouts are not a long-term economic strategy. The free money dries up after Election Day, but the bloated “free” programs stay forever. And here’s the part the socialists in City Hall never want to admit: the millionaires and billionaires they love demonizing already pay roughly 40% of NYC’s taxes. Keep demonizing the people creating jobs, investing in this city, and carrying the tax base, and eventually they’ll stop investing here altogether. Facts are stubborn things. Even when some politicians aren’t.

All fake. He gave the Iranian regime billions for terror abroad, missiles later fired at civilians, and genocide in Syria. He allowed the regime to preserve its enrichment capacity for later. He turned his back on pro-democracy protesters. Obama is the reason we had to go to war.

People with “knowledge of how our government works” in leadership positions has exactly been our problem in LA and CA. The result has been blatant incompetence and the loss of billions of our tax dollars.

7 years ago… I reported on Philadelphia’s new tax on soda. The politicians promised to spend the money on early childhood education. 7 years later… here’s what happened:
