@DHBurch13 Fixed for weddings; nothing for funerals. You hope you’ll be compensated for travel at least, but it seems likely “part of the job.” Local funeral home usually has a built in cost for the pastor’s services. Have felt the pain on an all day affair like that ..

To my clergy friends… Do you have a “standard pay” for the special churches like weddings or funerals? Or do you leave it to the family to decide? I was called in for a funeral on July 4th, to a location 1.5 hours from home. The whole thing took from 8am-3pm. Got Paid 50$

I remember seeing LAST CRUSADE in theaters as a kid with my best childhood friend and his family on a sleepover. It’s special to me that a theatrical series that has been a part of my whole life will now be part of her life.

Got my tix to take my kid to see DIAL OF DESTINY in IMAX at Bob Bullock tomorrow. We took the time to watch the first 4 together so it means a lot to me that we’ll be watching an INDIANA JONES movie together in a movie theater. #DialOfDestiny

My Grandmother always cooked tasty food. But one day, she put a burnt pie in front of my Grandpa. Not just a little burnt, but black as coal. I waited to see what my Grandpa would say. But he just ate the pie and asked how my day was. Then i heard my Grandmother apologize to him for his dinner. I'll never forget his response. "Dear, i like ur pie." Later, i asked him if he had told the truth. He put his arm on my shoulder and said, "Your Grandma had a tough day at work." "She was tired." "The burnt pie didn't harm me but, a sharp word could've hurt her." We all make mistakes. We shouldn't focus on mistakes but, support those we love.
