This might surprise younger people but in the ‘90s most of us knew how to read & were culturally literate. You could mention King Arthur or Citizen Kane and everyone knew what you meant. We were capable of writing essays. We had educational TV. We have lost so much, so quickly.

It’s always us. We’re the ones who scare ‘normal fans’ away, yet are the ones abused constantly and we’re the ones who don’t care about his music, yet the ones who figure out the clues and support him through everything . They only support the fantasy version of him that’s het and his marketing, fyi, is appalling. Putting him with a racist and an all round problematic person is losing him fans. That is why perception matters and why fans aren’t staying because they don’t feel welcome anymore, especially if they are queer, people of colour or migrants because his public gf is literally against all those people, so the blame lies entirely on his marketing because marketing him to teens isn’t working and is in fact costing him older fans with cash because who wants to support someone who allegedly is against everything you thought he once stood for. The problem isn’t larries, the problem is his team and his outdated and toxic marketing that is quite literally alienating him from his audience

so it’s Larries’ fault that Louis is not a bigger artist, not his team, who are responsible for his PR and marketing, okay 🤨 it’s Larries’ fault, even though we’re the ones behind organising fan projects (including promoting his music), it was Larries who analysed all the clues and easter eggs during the HDIGH name reveal, it’s us who have been here the longest and supported him through every era, but we are somehow responsible for his shows not selling out, make it make sense 😂

@SpinAllThisTime But could it be a planned action to create a public debate and end up in the tabloid? Like: "the queer fans struggle with the venues to get the safe space, does Tomlinson intervene reassuring his fans .."?

I’m sad that his team doesn’t see the need to address these issues. It genuinely feels like they are trying to destroy the beautiful safe space that Louis helped us create.
