@thekevingeary Can you use attributes > menu_order for this? You can certainly use that for custom ordering posts when looping - not sure about in admin as haven’t tried

WordPress is 20+ years old and you still can't sort child posts by publish date. In fact, when you use the date filter, it completely eliminates child hierarchy so you no longer have any clue as to which post is a parent or child. The CMS has been totally neglected.

@thekevingeary I’m going with a WP plugin that adds professional features and workflow enhancements to core. Kinda like what Advanced Themer is to Bricks, Etch will be to WP. Doing what they wish WP would do themselves.

For the record: Etch is not a WordPress fork and doesn't involve a WordPress fork. I'm 100% committed to working with/within WP.

@sashayanshin @scottbelsky You keep leaving out "solely for the purpose of operating or improving the software." I'd still object but that does limit what they can do, they couldn't exhibit it for money or use it in ads for instance.

I just cancelled my Adobe licence after many years as a customer. The new terms give Adobe "worldwide royalty-free licence to reproduce, display, distribute" or do whatever they want with any content I produce using their software. This is beyond insane. No creator in their right mind can accept this . You pay a huge monthly subscription and they want to own your content and your entire business as well. Going to have to learn some new tools.

You’re about to embark on a new freelance project and the client has one constraint. You have to use one of these two typefaces. Which one do you choose?

@ye_gif @brijanp @chendabo Yes - but try making an interactive prototype with one of those. Or something responsive… that’s where Figma comes in. Figma competes with XD, not the Trinity.

@brijanp @chendabo Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign is the holy trinity. You can make anything from branding to a book to OOH building wraps. Nothing else has that power.

maybe it’s the same the other way around? For graphics design, I think it is fair to be using both at the same time. They are designed for different purposes.

@madanvil @brijanp I’ve got clients that I’ve worked with longer than that. I raise my prices with them every 2-3 years to keep inline. They respect that. They don’t charge the same as they did 15 years ago either.
