Spirit of Springburn

On Saturday I was in Springburn for the Springburn Community Festival. Food, stalls, games and some brilliant performances from singers and dancers 🎪🎤🤹‍♀️; it makes me proud to see everyone coming together in Glasgow North East. Days like this pull together different cultures and ideas. It brings families together for fun activities. It also gives me a chance to speak to people and hear their concerns, and to talk about where they want to see improvements in their local area. 🗣👂 🎉A huge well done to everyone involved in making it happen. 👏

Thank you so much to everyone who came along to the Springburn Community Festival on Saturday, taking part in the activities available. We would like to thank Springburn Shopping Centre and everyone else who was involved in event organising and planning.

The RSPB is looking for help with seed sowing! Wed 22 Oct 10:30-12:30- Springburn Park, Stobhill Pond Thurs 23 Oct 12:30-14:30- Springburn Park Sun 9 Nov 12:30-14:30, Broomfield Park Tools/gloves will be provided - please dress for the weather.

Next on our line up is the amazing George Wilson who will be singing on the stage at the Springburn Community Festival this Saturday at 1pm. George will be singing covers of your favourite 70s, 80s and 90s so make sure to come along to cheer him along

Next up we’re excited to announce that Esperanza will be joining us tomorrow at the Springburn Community Festival at 2:30pm. They will be performing on our live stage at the festival taking place in Springburn Shopping Centre Main Car Park. Make sure you come along !!

We are excited to announce one of our main acts on stage at the Springburn Community Festival this Saturday 18th October on Springburn Way is none other than the amazing Apache Indian, who is an award winning Reggae musician most famous for this song Boom Shack-A-Lak.

Parking is available in the Centres other two car parks, however these are small.If attending the event we advise everyone to come, if possible, to walk or come by public transport. sections of Springburn Way will also be closed for the event,therefore you won’t be able to park

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT Springburn Shopping Centre main car park will be closed on Saturday 18th October for the Springburn Community Festival, a free community event for the whole area to get involved.

There will be lots to get involved in from live performances, face painting, magic shows, information stalls, football displays, badminton, community market, art workshops and much more !! Remember we have a fancy dress competition so make sure to come along in your best costume

We are looking for people who are interested in performing on stage at our event, whether that be singing, dancing or other ideas! We have stall spaces for any communtiy groups who are interested in sharing information about their organisation or an activity they are doing

Our Springburn Heritage Display is set up and now open at the Springburn Winter Gardens Trust Doors Open Day. Make sure to pop along to hear old stories of Springburn we are here until 3pm

We have the following mobility equipment at the community hub which we are able to provide to the local community for a donation which goes towards our ongoing running costs, if you are interested please get in touch
