🇺🇸🇮🇷 CENTCOM confirms U.S. forces launched “self-defense strikes” inside southern Iran after Iranian threats near the Strait of Hormuz. Targets reportedly included missile launch sites and Iranian boats laying naval mines near Bandar Abbas.

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 A senior U.S. official tells Fox News the ceasefire still stands and tonight's strikes inside Iran were purely defensive, hitting two mine laying IRGC boats and a missile site that had locked onto American warplanes.

Ten products. Six industries. Thirty days. One guy who still can't believe it's real. If a voice tells you you're not a "real" developer, it's out of date. The gap between imagining a thing and building it is gone.

AI didn't give me taste. It didn't give me vision. It didn't give me twenty years of knowing how things should look and work. It gave me the one thing I was missing: the ability to execute on all of it.

Here's what twenty "random" years actually were: Art school taught me taste. Furniture drafting taught me to think in specs. A decade of Linux servers taught me infrastructure. Prep for a job that didn't exist yet.

What came back was an embarrassingly simple web app. I could have designed something more polished in my sleep. But it worked. My son used it. And it hit me: I didn't just use a tool. I built software.

It started with my son, who's on the autism spectrum, stuck on fractions. The way school taught them didn't fit how his brain works. I opened ChatGPT and typed seven words: "My son has autism, and I'd like him to learn fractions."

Fine arts degree, 2004. Then: NYC corrections officer. Stay-at-home dad. CAD draftsman for a bespoke furniture company. Florida law enforcement deputy. Twenty years. Not one of them looked like a tech career.

Everyone keeps asking how a guy with a fine arts degree and zero coding experience built ten products in 30 days. Here's the part nobody wants to hear: AI didn't make me a developer. It made the twenty years I'd already lived finally matter.

Seven words I typed into ChatGPT turned into ten products across six industries. No team. No funding. No computer science degree. Just a fine arts degree and an AI tool that finally closed the gap.

Building is now fast and cheap. The bottleneck isn't execution anymore. It's vision. And the people who see the most interesting things to build are the ones who look across the most territory.

Specialization was a hedge against the cost of building. When it took a team six months to ship one product, you'd better pick the right one. "Niche down" made sense in a world where execution was the bottleneck.

The synoptic mind is the ability to see across domains and find the connections. For most of history, it was limited by execution. You could see across fields. You couldn't build across them.

Not because I'm a genius. Because the barrier between "I have an idea" and "I built the thing" collapsed. AI changed the math.

Fine arts degree. Four kids. Zero employees. And a grandfather. In the last few months I've started building across edtech, fintech, health tech, social platforms, developer tools, and creative tools. Ten products in active development. Six industries. One person.

Every product I build teaches me something I apply to the next. A romantasy community taught me onboarding lessons I used in a kids' edtech app. A trading bot taught me real-time data lessons I used in a health tracker. Insights compound.

For most of my life I thought being scattered was a flaw. Every piece of career advice said the same thing: pick a lane. Niche down. Go deep, not wide. I don't believe that anymore.

The first post is live: "Scattered, On Purpose?" If you're tired of being told to pick a lane, this one's for you. open.substack.com/pub/scatteredo… What's the domain you keep getting pulled back to even though you "shouldn't"?
