@ihasObamaphone @OrwellNGoode It all intentional to keep new manufacturers from being able to exist and compete. It also gives the auto makers excuses to raise prices eternally as they blame the regulations they lobby for as the reason.

@Spiteful_Design @OrwellNGoode It's always seemed somewhat funny that crash tests seem to get increasingly more complex and difficult as manufacturers start to meet the current regulations. It seems at some point vehicles will have to hold up against trains hitting it from 4 different directions.

@drsuffy Also $3k in BS dealer markup and who knows what how much distributor add ons. Trucks get the most expensive “accessories” piled on them. Our distributor was regularly trying to add $13k in garbage onto base model tundras for a while.

Yes truck prices are ridiculous, but you're looking at the tungsten, the ultra luxury model. Literally meant to compete with luxury SUVs, not a regular truck. Regular are 40k.
